Hi I’m Matthew, 34 years old.

After 13 years since my last driving test, my second overall, and an unlucky fail (in my opinion) I feel the time is right to try again with age and more experience on my side.

Driving would be a major help for me, in terms of my employment prospects and the additional independence it would provide in the longer term. My current job as a casual worker at Walsall council for example technically requires a driving category b license for a permanent contracted worker and if I ever wished to apply for a permanent role I would need to have a full licence. There are also so many other opportunities that may open up for me too. My primary focus is on aiming for a condensed lesson plan, and I have hopes to take my test as sooner than later. I have had a tough time with my life in recent years and financially I have struggled at times especially because of long spells with no work due to my mental health and other health concerns and social-anxiety issues.
