My dear son Matthew, who is only 41, a husband and father of 3, has been battling cancer for 8 long years. He is tired; his body is tired. The only thing getting us through is his faith in the Lord and knowing he is “going home”.

Two weeks ago, we were told cancer has spread to his liver and kidneys, and they have shut down. He is a walking miracle! He is home and on hospice. But the days are getting harder. We all know the inevitable, which is why he refused dialysis. He is ready. Based on lab work, he shouldn’t still be here. But each day is getting closer… real, real close.

He has a wonderful hospice team! Judy will be needing to take some time off work, which will be a financial struggle on top of everything else, which is the purpose of this GoFundMe page. My hope is to see enough to help with final expenses and help Judy financially from time off work to care for him and then go through the grieving process and the adjustment of not having him there.
