Matthew's Chemotherapy Fund
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Toni, and this is Matthew Peterson's Chemotherapy Fund.
The purpose for this fund is to raise money in order to aid my family with the increasing cost of chemotherapy for my brother Matthew.
Matthew is an extraordinary kid with a big heart. He just recently graduated high school and is an aspiring US Marine. This past year, Matthew was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma after having an unusual lump in his neck examined. This devastating news prevented him from attending boot camp and has taken a huge emotional toll on all of us. Matthew, who was once ready to give of himself for our country, is now fighting a vicious disease that is threatening his life.
Matthew is currently in the process of chemotherapy. The doctors are very optimistic about his treatment thus far. He is receiving exceedingly exceptional care at the Scully-Welsh Cancer Center in our hometwn of Vero Beach, but it has been far from easy. Despite the atrophating ramifications of the treatment, he has kept a positive attitude and cannot wait until he is cured so he can return to training for the Marine Corps.
As one can imagine, such superior treatment and care is extreamly costly; and the numbers are only getting larger. It is my hope, that this fund will generate enough money to help ease some of the financial pressure my family is feeling. I'm hoping for at least 4 figures by Christmas, but any amount is better than nothing! (The fund will also continue after christmas). Please help Matthew get better! Every bit helps, and we are grateful for any amount you can give!
As a side note to friends and family of Matthew, my family has no knowlege of this fund, and I'd like to keep it that way. Please, if you share this fund on any social media platform, be sure my parents as well as Matthew cant see it! I plan on showing them the grand total on christmas morning. (Don't worry, I'll get a video :] )
