Matthew Gaeckle

After a 5 year battle with Melanoma, my brother Matthew Gaeckle - 45, is nearing the end of his fight.   Always quick with a joke and willing to give the shirt off his back, this is a fight that has taken everything from him yet he still insists "everything is going to be ok".  A father of four, avid runner, and brother to six sibilings, Matt will soon join his recently department parents in Heaven.

Matt started the Sunflowere Melanoma Foundation in an effort to educate about this horrible disease and to defray the mountain of bills it takes to fight cancer. Sadly, after 5 years, Matt has nothing left in savings, no life insurance, and no money for a funeral.  Our family has turned to you for help and is asking for donations for a funeral beffiting of a loving father, son, and brother.

Matt will be missed sorely when he is gone but this cancer doesn't define him.  What does is his legacy that will live on his children, his siblings, his friends, his charitable work, and his spirit.
