Matthew's Motorcycle Accident Recovery

On Friday, October 16th Matthew was on his way home after his favorite activity: riding his motorcycle on up to Sandia Crest. Unfortunately, Matthew did not make it home this day as he lost control of his bike while trying to pass between an RV and a semi on the freeway.
Due to the high-speed nature of his crash, his right leg sustained a serious injury that had to result in amputation. At first, ER doctors believed both legs would require amputation, but both Matt and his surgeons fought hard to keep the leg. We are now hopeful that this leg will make a full recovery after a complete knee replacement and time for the fractures he sustained to it to heal.
Matthew also suffered countless other injuries, including a fractured shoulder, fractured wrist, fractured foot, broken fingers, and many others. Over the course of the next few weeks, he will require many surgeries and after these surgeries, he will require rehab to regain strength in this leg and learn how to get around with his prosthesis.
Despite going through such a shocking event and being in a lot of pain, Matt has tried to stay as positive as possible and is even making jokes. And although he can't have any visitors due to covid, he is keeping a positive attitude hoping that he will be out of the hospital and able to see his family and friends soon.
Myself, Matthew's fiance Arisa, and his father are asking for your help in this time of need on his behalf. We ask that anyone who can help donate to this GoFundMe in order to help us pay for his medical expenses, including those from his surgeries, his time in recovery, and his prosthesis as well as a new home for us since ours currently is not convenient or ideal for someone who sustained these kinds of injuries to live in.
