Hi Family and Friends.  With a recent trip to the ER, our world has been flipped upside down as it has been discovered that Matthew has been living with a base ball sized mass in his abdomen for quite some time now.
After months and months of inconclusive doctor visits, it feels better now at least knowing what the problem is /was.  As many of you know, we were preparing for an out of state move to Mckinney, TX where Matt accepted a lucrative position at Simpson Strong-Tie.  It appears that God had other plans for our live's as we are now faced with this difficult road ahead.
The good news is that the type of cancer is very treatable with a great survival success rate. Although this information makes it easier to digest, this has been an extremely difficult time for the whole family. The main objective is to keep Matt as comfortable and as pain free as possible.
With your donation, it will assist us in paying all of the out of pocket expenses that will be accumulating in the coming months, as well as allow Matt to take off the appropriate time-off needed. We are blessed that Matt has some short term disability pay available, but we definitely want to start preparing as Matt is no stranger to this battle, as he has watched his older brother fight the fight for the better part of his  adult life.
