It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Matthew Underwood—a son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend whose light shone brightly in every life he touched. Matthew was a larger-than-life character, the kind of person who could walk into a room and instantly make it warmer, funnier, and more full of love.

Matthew had a heart as big as his personality. He was the one who could turn a bad day around with a joke, a hug, or just that knowing smile that said, "I've got you." He made life feel like an adventure, a story worth telling, and most of all, he made every person feel like they mattered. Kids especially adored him—his playful spirit and boundless energy made him the ultimate fun uncle, the best big brother, and a role model without even trying.

Now, as we face this heartbreaking loss, we want to honor Matthew the way he deserves—by giving him the beautiful farewell he earned through a lifetime of love and laughter. We are asking for donations to help cover the costs of his funeral and memorial service, allowing us all to come together and celebrate the life of a man who gave so much to all of us.

Every donation, big or small, will help lift the financial burden off the family during this difficult time. But more than that, it’s a way to say thank you to Matthew—to give back even a fraction of the love and joy he poured into the world.

If you cannot donate, we completely understand, but we ask that you share this with others who knew and loved him. Let’s make sure Matthew’s memory is honored the way he lived—with love, laughter, and a whole lot of heart.
