In Loving Memory of Matthew Thomas Riordan 

Yesterday, our family lost a father, a brother, and a friend whose presence filled every room he entered. My dad was a man defined by resilience, love, and pride in his family. He grew up facing hardships most people will never know, but instead of letting those shadows define him, he fought them with strength and heart every single day of his life until the end. 

He had two great passions—his family and football. A lifelong New York Giants fan, he could talk plays and stats for hours, but more than that, he loved the way the game brought people together. And just like on the field, in life he was a teammate, a leader, and someone you could count on.

In the kitchen, he was a force. Cooking wasn’t just his job it was his way of leading and loving. Every dish he touched carried his pride and joy. He inspired everyone around him with his skill and dedication and worked in the food industry for 30 years. 

Above all, he took extreme pride in his family. He was always speaking about their resilience, their accomplishments, and the men his sons have become. Nothing lit him up more than sharing how proud he was of his boys.

Now, as we face the heartbreak of saying goodbye, we are doing our best to give him the farewell he deserves. We are asking for support to help cover the funeral costs, and every bit of generosity will go toward honoring a man who gave so much of himself to others, despite his troubles and whose pride and love for his family will never be forgotten.
