Most of you have probably seen in the news that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is reporting that since June 28, 2019, 193 people across 22 states have been struck with severe respiratory symptoms linked to vaping.

Matthew is one of those people.   Like so many others, Matthew thought vaping was safe.
And now this.

Matthew has been in the hospital since August 18, 2019, with lung damage that has not responded to any of the treatments tried by his medical team. He is in currently in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition. A ventilator is breathing for him. 

Matthew turns 22 years old on September 15th.

Matthew’s medical team is doing everything possible to fix him. We remain hopeful that he will be healthy enough to be removed from the ventilator in the coming days.

In the meantime, Matthew’s medical bills are mounting. He cannot work. His rent is unpaid. He needs our help.
