Matthew Richards - support for Kristie and kids

Following the sudden and tragic passing of Matthew Richards, Kristie's work family, Launceston Eye Institute, are calling on the greater community to give back to a family who has given so much.

 

For those of you who knew Matthew, you would be aware of his ongoing fundraising efforts for children in need all over Tasmania. Matthew's generosity knew no bounds, whether it be Connie the Cows Variety annual Tas Bash or his 100 bike Christmas drive,  he brought so much joy to so many people.

 

Matthew ran his own small business in Kings Meadows, MPR Sharpening. Many of you would know the hardships and sacrifices that are made when running a small business.

 

His devotion and love to his wife Kristie and his two children Max and Halle was endless. Matthew's zest and love of life endeared him to so many people. Everyone who knew Matthew was instantly warmed to him with his cheeky smile and infectious laugh.

 

Matthew gave so much, we would appreciate your support in giving back.

I have known Kristie and Matthew  for over 15 years and have had the pleasure of working along side her as her employer for this period of time.   As a close work family our doctors and staff wish to give back to Kristie.  The funds raised will be transferred directly to Kristie to assist her with the immediate   ongoing daily costs that are needed to raise their heartbroken young family.
