Matthew Pierre Tribute Bench

Losing my son, Matthew  at age 13  was  unthinkable because he was so full of life  and love.  He was a kindhearted , bright, funny , athletic , considerate  and outgoing kid.   Most things he did was to help others in small acts of kindness.

He had a strong sense of justice and fairness .  Our community and this world lost someone who would have contributed greatly to society, as he longed to help others when he grew up.   As a kid he helped too, he was an animal lover, advocate for those who were being bullied around him , and  Mommy's helper as he would do  many chores to help out before he'd played basketball or his video games.

This fundraiser is to purchase a plaque and  bench in NYC park Dewitt Clinton to commemorate his life . He wanted us  to remember  to be kind to each other ,have empathy. The purpose here  is also to  increase awareness about youth mental wellness and suicide prevention. We want to find hope and healing in celebrating his birthday June 19, 2021 with a basketball tribute tournament.  Matthew lived life to the fullest in perfect love for others.
