On June 16, Fond du Lac band member Matthew Northrup became unwell while working on an archaeological project. He got to a local hospital where he suffered terrible pain while they tried to diagnose his problem. On Saturday he was transported to St. Cloud as he developed sepsis and nerve loss and had emergency surgery to treat a massive infection in a spinal disc. Matt will now have to go through 8 weeks rehabilitation to relearn to walk and he will be unable to work.

This fund is to pay for uncovered rehabilitation costs, bills that will accrue from being unable to work, and equipment that will allow Matt to improve his health and create an online mode (outside Facebook) to communicate with friends and document his story and his illness and recovery in the time of Covid19.
