Matthew Lundy's Funeral
Donation protected
Hi, for those of you who do not know me, I am, Talisman, Matthew's little sister (there are 3 sisters.)
Matthew was an extremely vibrant individual and if I had to describe him in a brief and singularly dimensional way (which is tough), I would say he was a brother to all that met him.
The outpour of love I am seeing here is overwhelming. I decided I should share more details. We (as a family) were completely ill-prepared for tragedy and will be accumulating the funds to pay the overwhelming 10,000+ dollars in funeral home services cost.
Matthew was lost to us by a senseless act of gun violence late on the night of January 11th, 2021. He is survived by his mother, children, and five siblings. We are struggling to pick up the pieces here because quite frankly he held us firmly together through unwavering love and forgiveness.
Your help means more than words can describe in our time of need. I am sending you so much love and gratitude.
Update: We are almost halfway to our 10,000 goal. I have updated the amount as I go because it makes me feel less stressed to see the gap from what we need. You all are so wonderful. Please feel free to go see and say goodbye to Matthew at Jenssen Funeral Home in downtown Anchorage on January 21st. It is an all day, walk through viewing. Muni does not allow more than 20 people in a space at a time due to COVID, so the funeral service is reserved for family only.
