Matthew Laslo road to recovery
On Friday July 9th, 2021 four men attempted to crash a gathering Matt and his girlfriend Megan were having. One of the men pushed Megan and Matt went to step in to protect her. Before he had the chance to do so, one of the other men blindsided Matt by smashing a bottle in his face hitting his eye. The bottle broke and the man then used it to stab Matt in the mouth and the back of his head.
Matt was rushed to the hospital where he had 15 stitches to his left eye, 30+ stitches to attach his upper lip back together and 10 staples in the back of his head. He lost 6 of his front teeth when he was stabbed and the bone in the roof of his mouth was fractured.
If you know Matt you know he is a good man who did not deserve this. He is the life of the party, a hard-worker, a family man and one of the kindest men most of us know. He always does the honourable thing.
The cost to fix the fracture and teeth is estimated to be $10-12k not including time he has missed from work.
Matt would never ask for help but his family and friends want to help ease the burden of financial stress for him while he recovers. If you can find it in your heart to help such a good man it would be much appreciated.
