My name is Matthew Kreutz. I am a new professional golfer trying to raise money for my upcoming tournament season (2021/2022). Some of my backstory; I grew up in Vernon playing out of Vernon Golf and Country Club as well as being an employee at Predator Ridge for six years. I started playing competitive golf later than most with my first year of tournaments being when I was 16 years old. I quickly found a passion for practice and competitive play. As I developed my game more my aspiration was to play golf in the NCAA on a scholarship. In the spring of 2015 I received a scholarship to play golf at Minot State University in the fall of 2015. I played four years at Minot State where I helped our team to its highest ever NCAA DII national ranking of 52nd in the fall of 2018. That same year I was named to the NSIC All-Conference team. I graduated from Minot State in the spring of 2019 and dipped my feet into the professional golf world last summer (2020). The past year and a half I have been working very hard on my game to get it to a point where I feel comfortable jumping to the next level.
Due to the extensive amount of travel and entry fees I will need to pay this season, I am in need of some financial help.
I have recently signed up for the Mackenzie Tour Qualifying tournament on Vancouver Island at the end of May. The top 25 players at this tournament will gain status for the 2021 Mackenzie Tour season. My plan B, if I don’t finish in one of those top 25 spots will be to play on the Dakotas Tour for July and August. This will be to get competitive professional golf rounds in on a very competitive tour. This year is a stepping stone year for where I want to be in my professional golf career.
I appreciate you reading this far. Any help or sharing of this page would be greatly appreciated. I am excited for taking the next steps into my professional golfing career.
