For those who knew Matthew Goecke, knew he was so selfless, compassionate, and a lover of good music and sports. He had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone, especially his dear loved ones. We would like to extend the heartbreaking news that our loving Matt passed away from COVID-19 on November 2nd, 2021. All that loved him, admired him for his kindness, love, wittiness and humor.

Matt's wishes were to be buried next to his beloved father, Ken, also known as "Papa", in Iowa. Losing his father- who was also his best friend, meant losing a part of him forever. He leaves behind his two beautiful children, Sydney and Ethan Goecke. While we are still trying to process the fact that he is now in Heaven, we want to kindly share the opportunity for anyone who would love to support and contribute to the funeral and travel costs. All finances will be handled by Sydney and Matt’s sisters, Claudia and Gabby. Other financial options will be available via Zelle or Venmo as well.
