Hi All,
We are reaching out to all friends and family on someone we all know and love deeply, Matt Fenske. Although Matt is not aware, what we are doing (YOU KNOW NOW MATT), we wanted to let you all know Matt had a horrible accident on Sunday evening 11/17/2019. As you all know the love Matt has for building beautiful wood work. On Sunday he was working and the chainsaw grinder caught onto his shirt and nearly severed his left hand off. Matt was rushed to the Montrose hospital by ambulance where they did emergency surgery. We are all very thankful that his wife Amy Fenske was home and had the sound mind to react very fast to save Matt’s life. On Friday 11/22/2019 Matt had to endure a 2nd surgery in Fruita to repair the main nerve in his hand. Over the course of the next year Matt will need to have multiple follow up visits with the hand surgeon and will need to do extensive Physical Therapy. Matt, Amy and the kids spirts are high and mostly thankful that Matt is still in their lives.
We can only imagine what the cost will be for his accident and wanted to let you all know give if you can. Begin a dad to 5 children and owner of an electrical company with and accident and injury like this along with the medical bills he will have there will be a long road to recovery. Matt’s love for his family, 5 children and friends are endless and there is always a point in life where we all need extra support. Pray for a successful recovery during this hard time for Matt and his family, and any support you can give we know the family will be forever grateful.
