In Memory of Matthew Daines

On Wednesday, September 3rd, our beloved Matthew tragically passed away in an auto-pedestrian accident while out walking with his new bride. Pushing his wife, Andrea, out of harm’s way was not the first time Matthew demonstrated his God-given gift of being a protector. A protector is always who he has been.

Matthew eagerly embraced life with unmatched earnest. He enjoyed working hard. And he was so happy. That happiness was contagious. Matthew only spoke positively of other people and he truly had no guile. There are certain kinds of men that inspire goodness in others. Matthew was that man. This sudden loss of such a remarkable human being has left us in unimaginable grief.

Many in Matthew and Andrea’s community have expressed a desire to offer support and this page was created to provide an avenue for that support. We appreciate your desire to ease the burdens on Andrea as she navigates this loss. We are profoundly grateful for your love, support, and prayers. We express our heartfelt gratitude to those first responders and strangers who rendered aid. We can never thank you enough.
