On the 25 November 2024 Matt tragically lost his life in an accident on his way to work.

The timing around Matt’s death could not have been more heartbreaking, Jodie was 17 weeks pregnant at the time, they were in the process of selling their flat and buying their first house.

They had been married for just 7 months.

Jodie found out that they were expecting a son (Rowan) on the day he died.

Jodie has been left distraught and due to circumstances beyond her control with limited finances. She has also been hit with expenses such as solicitors fees and funeral costs, together with unexpectedly facing life as a single parent.

Jodie would love to intern Matt’s ashes in a memorial woodland and hopes to do this on what would have been Matt’s 34th birthday.

This fundraiser hopes to raise money to cover the costs of the internment of Matt’s ashes to give Rowan a place to connect with his father.
