Matthew Canullas Memorial

Hello friends and family. We received the most heartbreaking news on 12/30/21 that our beloved family member Matthew has passed away. Our hearts go out to his family in the Philippines, his two beautiful daughters Jayla and Fiona and his family here in California. He was a loving father, son, and brother who will forever be remembered in our hearts. Please send your prayers for our family as we mourn during this difficult time.

A fellow coworker and friend Daniel Millares wrote this in remembrance of Matthew.

“It is with a very heavy and sad heart that we announce the passing of my dear associate Matthew Canullas Matthew More Aleski. On this very dark day we are only redeemed by the light of the memories you left us with. You will be forever remembered as the father of the team – to everyone. We will never forget how you always spice up our team buildings and meetings with your wits and of course your delicious home cooked meals. We will never forget your contagious smile and laughter, your love for cooking and how you endlessly smile whenever you tell stories of your two lovely daughters. We will never forget how you handle our newbies and how they always tell praises about you. We will never forget how you wow our clients and how everyone in our unit admires you. I will never forget how you would tell me to not give you awards because you wanted to be “low-key”. Guess what you won last ADP event (got your photo here) You were a very nice person and I am proud to say that I am very lucky to know you not just as my associate but as a friend.

You were our guiding light. You were my guiding light. I have learned so much from you. “Enjoy life”, “Take it easy” and “Do what makes you happy” – these are all the phrases you always say. Today I take deep meaning in these words as we wake up the next day knowing we will never see you again. We have a hard time accepting all of these are real and yet we have to be strong and give our best everyday because that is what you would have liked us to do – to be at our very best each and every single day – as what you have been for your clients and for all of us.

We love you Daddy Matt and we miss you. We fucking miss you. “
