Hi, my name is Lauren I’m setting this go fund me page up for my sister in law Ciara.

Ciara’s son Matthew broke his arm in school on Thursday 6th of November 2025, he broke his arm in two different places.

the school got the ambulance for him and he went to hospital and he was completely fine that day, hospital sent him home that Thursday and made arrangement for Ciara to bring Matthew back to Crumlin hospital Friday for surgery and while being in the hospital Matthew became unwell and was given tablets and steroids but was vomiting all day so the hospital gave him a second dose of steroids because he was vomiting and the first dose didn’t work he was having trouble with his breathing but they told Ciara to walk him around the hospital and give Matthew water and if he keeps it down they were going to discharge him and made an appointment for him to attend Tallaght hospital to see a lung doctor on Tuesday. They discharged him from the hospital knowing he wasn’t well but Monday evening Matthew became worse with his breathing and was trying to catch his breath but unfortunately stopped breathing, first responders were quick & managed to bring him back but was rushed to crumlin hospital where he was placed into an induced coma and on life support machine and unfortunately Monday 17th November 2025 he passed away Matthew was the most loving little boy he was only 8 he is missed an loved by so many people Matthew has 2 brothers and 2 sisters and Matthew was the eldest this go fund me is too help Matthews family against the financial stress. He was the most heart warming boy and will be missed and was loved by all who knew him!
