Matthew had a severe medical emergency, resulting from what we think is a pretty intense infection in his system. He was septic and not expected to survive. However, he is on the road to recovery. It is a very long road and he’s not completely out of the woods yet. He is now out of ICU and is receiving some rehabilitation, but hasn’t regained feeling in much of his extremities. He’s 28 years old and it’s quite miraculous that he has progressed and made it through thus far. This is what the doctors are saying. A lot of medical attention and a lengthy rehabilitation lies ahead.
