MATTHEW 11:28 BED MINISTRY

One Thursday I was sitting in an event held by Bennett Memorial UMC where hundreds of people were getting fed free food and the gospel.  I felt the Lord with His still small voice say, "my people need rest".  I immediately passed a paper around taking info down for all who needed a bed.  To my surprise about 10% of the people were needing a place to lay their head at night.  My heart was heavy for those needing something that I have taken for granted my whole life.  We have delivered close to 50 at this point and are running short on funds.   Many of the needs are women and children.  You would not imaging how many children are sleeping on the floor every night. 
In a nutshell we are raising money to fund bed and rail purchases for underprivileged people in the tri-state area.   We have been delivering beds to families in Vanderburgh, Henderson, Union, and Webster Counties.  We only purchase twins and fulls.  The current cost for a twin bed and rail is 160.  The current cost for a full bed and rail is 225.  If you cannot afford to give something then prayer pledges would be much appreciated.
