matters of consent (MoC) is a Glasgow-based survivor-led research project that draws upon the experiences, material knowledge and imagination of sexual violence survivors to think better ways of talking about and teaching consent. Between February and October 2022, with a period of research, collaborative consultation and creative workshops, MoC aim to publish a research paper and a free lesson plan for teachers to use in S1-S3 classes to teach sexual consent in schools.
We partially funded by the Scottish Graduate School for Arts & Humanities, but are raising money for additional funds in order to:
- pay our survivors for their participation and expertise (£600)
- provide free refreshments at our creative workshops (est. £160)
- pay for the printing costs of our final research paper (est. £100)
- provide free childcare and a crèche space during workshops (est. £380)
- provide free transport and an emergency taxi fund pot for workshops (£450)
- supply a therapy fund to support our practitioners' wellbeing (£300)
Any donation, however small, would be incredibly helpful in making sure that all of our collaborators and participants are properly provided for, and so that we can produce a high-quality finished research paper at the end of this project. Additional funds will be donated directly to Glasgow & Clyde Rape Crisis.
