Matteo’s 2nd Open Heart Surgery

Hi, I’m Matteo’s mummy Chelsea.

This is Matteo’s journey fighting his heart disease & condition, a new strain of ALCAPA (Anomalous left coronary artery from the pulmonary artery) and severe MR (mitral regurgitation). He will be having his second open cardiac surgery in May for a complete valve replacement.

I hate to have to resort to this but I am asking for people to donate when and what they can, within means, to make our lives that little bit easier while Matteo is undergoing surgery and in recovery. I am currently a stay at home mum due to his continuous medical scares and his vulnerability in daycares/nurseries. Along side this I also take care of his step-brother who he adores to cut back on the costs of childcare as I am not contributing to family bills.

This money will go towards Matteo’s extra medical bills such as further therapies that Medicare does not cover, prescription medications along with hospital parking costs, food and other unforeseen costs that come with his prolonged treatment, so my family don’t have to go out of pocket a second time.

Anything extra will be donated to the charity for children with heart disease (Sweethearts for Heart Kids) at his hospital and to treat the nurses, surgeons and staff who care for Matteo to pass on the love for other struggling families.
