On March 4th my dad was on his way to work. He was driving down route 63, when a large pickup truck crossed two lanes of traffic and hit him head on. (http://wtnh.com/2015/03/04/driver-seriously-injured-in-woodbridge-crash/)
He sustained a fractured femur, compound fracture of the tibia, fractured acetabulum, shattered right ankle, completely torn tibia tendon, two slipped discs in his neck, sensory damage to his arms and hands, and damage to his hearing and ears. He’s had five surgeries so far and needs at least one more.
The man who hit my father was an uninsured driver. Over the past few months my father has been in recovery making great progress. However, this process required an extended stay at a rehab facility. His insurance only covered a period of 90 days in the rehab facility. In order for him to be well enough to return home my father had to pay for an extra month of out of pocket ($17,000). He also had to put two stair lift chairs into his condo ($10,000). His out of pocket bills totaled to $27,000, essentially draining his bank account. I don't expect to get anywhere near this amount in donations. However, every dollar will be greatly appreciated.
I’m seeking aid from everyone to help my father recover from this accident. I know my dad will be thankful if you can donate even a single dollar. If you are short on funds or don’t have any spare money to donate, then just come over and visit him. It will help motivate him during his recovery.
My mother previously set up an account at People's Bank . I would like to thank anyone who has already donated through that method. (He has no idea who has donate because this fund doesn't disclose names)
