On March 16, 2016, the world lost an amazing man. Matthew Brodersen passed away very unexpectedly in his sleep, leaving behind his wife, Teresa, and 12 year old daughter, Elizabeth. He was the sole financial provider for the family and unfortunately leaves the family with a lot of medical bills as well as funeral expenses to pay.
Matt was a larger than life character who lived life to the fullest and found joy in everything. He grabbed life with both hands, and with his sense of humor made everyone else around him smile.
When living in Kansas, he touched countless lives as a EMICT and a police officer. He was an historical re-enactor and could often be found “robbing” trains in the Santa Cruz Mountains with his family and friends. He was a devoted Christian and was known for his generosity and lived out his faith by going out of his way to help others as well as being willing to talk about his beliefs. He loved nothing more than being with his family. He and his wife were dedicated to homeschooling their daughter and both took part in her education. When his daughter became interested in Disney princesses and fairies, he learned everything about all of them and their backstories and would often be found playing right along with his daughter. He was a Disney fanatic and loved to talk about anything and everything Disney.
There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his wife and daughter and this loss is extremely hard on them. Any financial support you can give would greatly be appreciated as they work to re-build their lives.
The world is a little bit sadder without his smile and humor.
