There are stories you hear about people having an undying love for eachother, and then there are instances where you see it first hand. This is one of those instances. Matt  and Nicole met about a year and half ago. It only took a first date for them to realize they found their other half in eachother. In a matter of weeks they  formed a connection and an unbrekable bond . Matt's beautiful soul and gracious heart captivated Nicole,  whose adventurous spirit  mesmorized Matt.

Witnessing the two of them together made you want to be a better person. It gave you hope that there is pure, genuine love out there.

They shared a passion for the outdoors- from camping in Northern Californa to snowboarding in Tahoe to gazing at the stars at night. 

But Matt and Nicole had an even bigger passion -  and that was for helping people in need. There is one particular story that sticks out. Matt and Nicole were walking along the streets of San Franciso and came across a homeless person with no shoes or socks. Touched by his story Matt took off his own socks and shoes and gave it to the homeless man. He saw Nicole light up after that. Realizing how happy selfless acts made her, Matt took a trip to a department store and filled up his trunk with blankets and socks. The next day he suprised Nicole with this. She turned and asked "what's this for ?" , he in turn said he wanted the two of them to spend the day giving these items out to the people in need. This is one of many stories like this. Together they found selfless joy in helping people.

Matt and Nicole started to plan their future together. In March of 2016 they became first time homeowners. They purchased a single family home on a 10 acre plot of land in Jackson, CA. This was their dream home. Most people would say why so much land for two people? The answer to that is simple, family. Not just starting their own but bringing all family together. They wanted to start an organic farm and become self sustainable and also give back to the community.

In May of 2016 that dream was cut short. Matt who was only 31 years young, was tragically killed in a car accident. In a split second Nicole's life changed. My life changed. My family's life changed. Every single person that met Matt, even if it was for an instant,  their lives changed. The outpour of sadness, grief and frustration was unmeasurable. He was that person. That person that exuded love, kindness and positivity. A more genuine person does not come to mind.

Nicole was faced with two options after this. The first option was to give up. Give up on their life, on their home, their love and fall into a darkness or to continue to fight for their dream despite and enormous uphill battle when it comes to the affordability of that now that she is on her own.  

The option is clear and Nicole is choosing to be that strong, determined girl Matt loved more than anything. Nicole is going to live the life they planned, she just needs a little help from friends and family to do this. From upkeep with the house to starting the farm and maintaining it, it becomes quite expensive.
Nicole needs financial support during her time of grieving. Without Matt's financial support, she is going to have to get very creative to afford the bills she is now left to pay on her own.
