Hi, my name is Lauren and I’m fundraising for my friend Matt. We used to work together and have since become lifetime friends. If you know Matt, you know he’s been through a lot. From losing his mom, recovering addiction, helping his sister with her kids when she was sick, all alongside his own personal health issues… needless to say, he’s been through all of these things and never asked for help. Since I’ve known him (going on almost 10 years), he has had a job and worked hard for everything he has. He’s very humble and he doesn’t even want me to ask for help… but…. He needs it! So please, even a dollar will help, and won’t go unnoticed!

Now, as to why he needs help specifically, in his words…

”I WILL need a bone marrow transplant or they assure me I'll have Acute Myeloid Leukemia before long and then it will be too late for a transplant to work. I was planning on doing it early next year and working as much as i could to save up for the fact that I'll spend a month at minimum in the hospital, and won't be able to drive or work for 6 months afterward. My sister is going to be my full time caregiver during that time. Essentially, my bone marrow is deteriorating and not producing enough mature blood product for my body to continue to function properly. It started a few months ago and the rate at which it is deteriorating is quicker than the Doctors anticipated. As a result, I suffer from constant debilitating fatigue, major intermittent bone pain, shortness of breath, and a few other smaller things.“

TL;DR- he needs a bone marrow transplant ASAP or he will ultimately die sooner than later. He can have said transplant, but he will need money to pay bills and eat food for 7 months while he’s out of work.

His monthly bills- 200 car payment, 200 health insurance, 60 phone, and food
