Hi, I’m Josh and I am honoured to help support my brother Matt Steele and share about his current situation
After 3 years of feeling generally unwell, being on and off work (works for CN Rail since 2017 in Toronto South, Toronto North, Aldershot, Port Rob, and currently Prince George), and tests that revealed nothing, I have recently been diagnosed with Stag IV Cancer. It started in my colon and moved into my liver. I am thankful to be dealing with this in BC where the medical staff have been amazing and are moving lighting fast.
Although I've been sick for a years, I'm reminded of what I have accomplished in that time. I worked through sickness, played football sick, caught a ton of fish and helped Jorgie get his first. I got married, moved our family cross country and renovated our new home between doctors visits. I've been able to fight through and accomplish all of that, and I'm not done fighting yet.
Doctors are making a plan to kill this cancer and cut it out of me, we're going aggressive and hitting it hard. First step is a liver biopsy next week, then targeted chemo for a few months before surgery.
I have my Wife and Parents helping me currently and am very grateful to the many other family and friends who have offered support. It takes a village and my village has rallied very quickly.
So if you want to see Stage IV cancer gets its ass kicked please stick around. I promise its a fight worth seeing.
anyone who is able to help support Matt and his family it will be greatly appreciated!
