Matt Schalm fundraiser

Hi, my name is Neil and I am fundraising for the Schalm family who recently lost their son Matt in a motor vehicle accident. It is our way of helping during this most difficult time. The funds are to help with expenses and hopefully also contribute towards a legacy memorial for Matt. More information and pictures will be added as we can. All funds collected go directly to the Schalms.

He leaves a very big hole in our lives, and the lives of those who knew him will forever be altered in some way as he was like a big brother to young men who were struggling. A friend to whoever happened to be within one of his storytelling moments. A son who made us proud and was making plans with his beautiful girlfriend who we love like our own. A promising young life was cut short in the blink of an eye. As our hearts slowly readjust and the world continues with or without us the best that we can do is to honor your memories. Take comfort that our God is a merciful God. Love each other even more because we don't know how life may change. Bless others, be forgiving and say I love you to our loved ones as Matt even as a child was always very aware of that. Even before a simple thing like going to bed he would wrap his big arms around you and say "I love you dad or I love you, mom. Those are the memories that are both wonderful and heartbreaking at the same time because we'll never get to experience that from him again. I could go on but you get a snapshot of our beloved son and his character.
