Matt Ponzio Funeral/Memorial fund

Matthew Theodore Ponzio, age 42.
passed away due to injuries obtained in an automobile accident on Dec 16 2016.
      Matthew was a beloved son, brother, friend, husband, devoted father, avid fisherman, and mentor. He shared his love for the environment and joy for the sport of fishing with everyone he encountered. He would fish any time, any weather, any water, and for any type of fish. He  would  help to protect and maintain these waters  and  respect their rules and guidelines. There is not a fishing trip with Matt where he would not have a pocket full of cigarette butts, fishing line etc. that he would pick up off the ground if he saw them polluting any of his favorite fishing holes. Matthew was a member of B.A.S.S. and supported catch and release fishing!
    Matthew also enjoyed every aspect of music. He was a guitar player himself. He would always be listening to, attending live shows/concerts, or trying to promote and rally folks to head out to check out new bands or festivals.
    I am Andrew Ponzio, Matthews younger brother. I am beginning this go fund me campaign to help cover Matthews funeral expenses,  and to begin a memorial fund which I will be donating to every year myself and hopefully with many more fisherman as well. The memorial fund will  support the mentoring of children to be taught proper fishing techniques and conservation awareness so that his name and belief in these two important issues can provide enjoyment and introduce our youth to the wonderful possibilites/oppurtunities to help sustain and protect the environment around us.  I myself Andrew Ponzio and Matthews father Carmen Ponzio, will be in charge of final expenses for Matthew and  the sponsorship for his name through local fishing organizations.
