Update in Matt's words from his FB profile;
My beautiful wife Leah passed away on March 30th, 2025.
She was an amazing mother to three children, exceptional Sunday school teacher, Special Ed tutor, and so much more. She encouraged me to be a full-time artist and not give up when times were tough.
We enjoyed 21 years of marriage. Sadly, Leah’s life was cut short by complications of cancer.
She passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus, surrounded by the love of family and friends.
We plan to have the memorial service on Saturday, April 12th at Bethel Church, in Eau Claire.
1pm- visitation
2pm- service with refreshments to follow
Please come and let’s celebrate her life and commitment to her Savior

With Love ️

This Fund was started when Leah was first diagnosed and funds raised at that time have been spent on medical and associated costs.
In an effort to provide a vehicle to present gracious financial assistance to Matt and his family, I have initiated this GoFundMe campaign.
Matt's wife recently underwent surgery and requires extensive time for healing and may need additional treatments. This unexpected health crisis has undoubtedly placed an additional financial burden on their family as they have incurred medical bills, additional travel expenses, and a decrease in potential income due to Matt's limited availability to work on commission pieces and limited time to commit to building his teaching business as he cares for his wife and children. Matt’s commitment to looking after his children, supporting his wife as she heals and keeping his art business running to support his family, is a testimony of his selflessness and dedication to his family and his generosity in all he does for his art students.
Matt is a kind and generous member of our community. As an artist and teacher, Matt has brought joy and beauty into many of our lives and allowed us to share our art to spread joy and beauty to others. He has always been willing to lend a helping hand or offer guidance and support to anyone who asks. Now is our opportunity to give back to Matt and his family. Let's come together and show him the same kindness and generosity that he shows to others.
You are invited to consider donating to support Matt and his family during this time. Your generosity will not only provide financial relief but also bring comfort and encouragement to them. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 9:7, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." Let us give cheerfully, knowing that our donations are making a difference in the lives of Matt and his family.

Thank you for considering contributing.
