Matt Payne’s Emergency Fund
Donation protected
On Tuesday, November 22, 2022 Matt Payne went in for a minor surgery. It is now believed that he may have aspirated during that surgery causing double pneumonia. Unfortunately, doctors did not realize this at the time and he was sent home. After a few days his breathing declined rapidly and on Monday, November 28, 2022 his wife Alison rushed him back to the hospital. Once at the hospital, the doctors soon realized how sick he truly was. The ER doctor stated he did not believe Matt would make it through the next hour, as his oxygen level was at 30 and we did not know how long his oxygen was that low. Thankfully, he did make it through that hour and was stable enough to be transferred to Orlando Health South Lake Hospital. Matt was admitted to the ICU, put on a ventilator, and placed in a medically induced paralytic coma. Although he is no longer in a coma, Matt is still in very critical condition in the ICU and on the ventilator. Matt has a very long road ahead of him with no timeline on when his body will heal. Once he is healed and able to leave the hospital, he will have to be transferred to a rehab facility where he might possibly have to relearn even simple daily tasks such as walking, feeding himself, tying his shoe, etc.
With that being said, there are many unexpected expenses that have come up - medical bills, travel, even daily bills will be a struggle. We would like to take this burden off of Matt and Alison so that they can focus on his healing. If you know either of them, you know that they would do anything they could to help someone in need. Now that it is their time of need, we ask for your help and to consider donating to assist with all of their unexpected expenses.
You can also support our family by praying for Matt. Specifically that his lungs and body are healing and getting stronger each day. Also by keeping our family in your prayers as we navigate this very trying and emotional time. We know God is in control and we are fully trusting him to bring us through this.
Thank you all for your love, support, and prayers. Each and every one of you are so very appreciated.
