Matt Nyman was a Veteran of the Iraq war and a member of the elite Delta Force. During a mission in 2005 he received significant injuries and lost his lower right leg but Matt never let that stop him.
In 2010 he was part of a group of Veterans called Soldiers to the Summit and participated in a climb of the 20,000 foot mountain Lobuche in Nepal. The expedition was documented in the film High Ground that came out in 2012.
Matt continued to push himself with various climbs around the world and sadly was lost in an avalanche in Alaska on February 3rd, 2021. Matt leaves behind his wife and 3 children. This fund will go to help support his family as they deal with this tragic loss.
