My name is Matt. I haven't been able to work for over three years (since January 2022) due to Long Covid. I haven't received any long-term disability or social security benefits. While I had a good job and a decent amount of savings at the time, years of supporting my family with no relief has completely depleted our resources.

I need money for hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). HBOT shows great promise to treat or even cure my illness. I have been following the research on it and both the theory and the success stories are encouraging. By allowing excess oxygen to get deeper into tissues, HBOT can heal my brain, fix cell damage, effectively eliminate inflammation at the source, just to name some of the benefits.

I did one session at a clinic to try it out and make sure there were no issues (the featured photo here is from that session). In research results, the main long-term benefits of HBOT come from consistent sessions over weeks and months, and patients don't necessarily feel benefits from the first session. However, even with just that one session I felt some noticeable effects that lasted a few days. My mind was clearer and I was able to help around the house and yard more than any other day for years, and I didn't crash! Experiencing these temporary benefits gave me the confidence to pursue an HBOT chamber for my home.

The cost of buying an HBOT chamber is comparable to a full HBOT protocol at a clinic, except after I am done I will still have the chamber to continue treatment as needed—which many in my situation have found was necessary. There will also be greater effectiveness doing the therapy at home, without having to travel to a clinic (which is extremely draining for me and requires others to take hours every day to drive me to sessions.)
