Matt Morris Financial Relief Fund

Our beloved Matt Morris has been dealing with multiple medical issues stemming from painful diverticulitis. In late June/early July, after a week-long stay in the hospital, due to a rupture in his colon, sepsis, and the formation of an abscess, Matt was sent home to rest, heal, and await surgery. He was readmitted to the hospital in early August for infection once again and surgery has been postponed. The abscess had grown 6 times in size. Matt was again given IV antibiotics and went in for a procedure to drain the abscess. He spent another 3 days in the hospital and was sent home, this time with a "j drain" to continue draining the abscess. Matt still needs to have the drain removed, avoid any further complications and have resection surgery. As he rests, tries to avoid infection, and awaits/undergoes/recuperates from surgery, Matt is and will be unable to work. Through FMLA, Matt's job (behavior support at Dripping Springs Middle School) will be safe, however he will not receive any income. He will also be unable to play music, which is his other source of income. He will most likely be out of work at least until the holidays and with medical bills, it will be a challenge. Matt is very blessed to have the support of friends and family and has felt the love and prayers sent by so many.
