On July 15, 2017, Matt Lapohn SR was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident at the age of 29.

Matt was an employee in our Elyria, Ohio plant for several years and worked his way up to a seasoned and experienced setup operator. He was doing well both at work and in his personal life.

Matt’s death was a tremendous blow to his family and co-workers.

He is survived by his two sons, Cole Robert Lapohn, age 12 and Matthew Phillip Michael Lapohn Jr., age 9

The Valley Fastener Group is putting together a fundraiser for his two boys to set up education funds for their future.

As we near the 5-year anniversary of his death, we want to remember him and his young children by helping them with their educational expenses.
