In loving memory of Matthew Jacob Knight

Hi Everyone,
Please can I ask you to take the time to read and support our colleague and friend, Jess McNutt and her family in raising funds in hope to give Matt the dignified and heartfelt send-off that he deserves. Unfortunately, the financial burden of bringing him home from Hong Kong and the funeral expenses is overwhelming during this already challenging time. We are reaching out to our community for support in honouring Matt’s memorial.
About Matthew:
Matthew, our loving son and brother was a very simple guy; caring, sensitive, with a good, kind heart and soul. He was 41 years old. Matt was a deeply emotional and religious person. Growing up he was also a grade 8 violinist. Extremely talented. When we had visitors/family round, mum would always ask Matt to play, which he did without hesitation, but we have laughed about that in recent years because Matt was a very reserved, shy lad and he never liked a fuss. He loved listening to music and being in the garden. Matt was also a fantastic chef and loved to cook for his family.
Matt spent most of his life in Asia, where he felt he most belonged. He resided in recent years, in Hong Kong - Tai Po, and worked as an English teacher. Six years ago, in Hong Kong, he met and fell in love with his fiancée, Jen. They were each other’s Penguins - a forever partnership. They had plans to retire in Hong Kong together.
Sadly, he tragically passed away last week. Leaving behind two beautiful daughters too. Matt was our protector. He had the greatest most infectious laugh. We are deeply saddened. He will forever be in all of our hearts.
