Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

We are reaching out on behalf of Matt, US Army Veteran, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, loyal friend, and caring son. For the past 2 months, he has been fighting an unimaginable battle in the hospital—two of those weeks spent in the ICU/ICCU. His journey has been nothing short of grueling, with more than 10 surgeries and two extensive incisions, each over 12 inches long, where doctors have had to remove muscle, bone, and tissue to combat a severe infection.

Despite all of this, Matt continues to fight with unwavering strength, but his road to recovery is far from over. He is facing severe edema, constant swelling, high fevers, and relentless pain that even the strongest medications can barely touch. Doctors have made it clear that his hospital stay will extend for several more weeks—possibly months—as they work to stabilize his condition and prevent further complications.

While he is waiting for information from his employer about long-term disability, the uncertainty surrounding his income has created a significant financial burden. His family is doing everything they can to stay strong, but with ongoing treatments, and the uncertainty of his return to work, they need our help.
