Our friend Matt "Matty Ice" Ellis had his Honda Grom motorcycle recently stolen while he was working his bartending shift at Holy Mountain Brewing.

You can get the full story from Matt, and we encourage you to because this kind of thing "was even crazier than it sounds", but here's a quick rundown of what happened:

At the end of his shift Matt saw a couple of guys pull up in a truck and start to load up HIS bike into THEIR truck! He runs out of the brewery and jumps INTO the back of the truck as it takes off. There's a scuffle and Matt finds himself tossed out onto the pavement. Thankfully he wasn't seriously injured, but the thieves took his Grom and his Phone fell out in the chaos. So he's now down a phone too. It's pretty messed up that this kind of thing happened right outside the brewery.

We are starting this GoFundMe so that we can pass the virtual bucket around and get some cash thrown Matt's way to replace his Grom and Phone. Matt uses his bike to get to work and it's his only reliable means of transportation. We want him to get a new bike so that he can keep slinging beers for many many more years to come!

There will also be an in-person Fundraising Event held at the Pour Decisions taproom on May 19th for Matt’s new bike. Holy Mountain will be there with several kegs on tap to help raise money.

We are hoping that with the generosity of Seattle Beer drinkers, friends, old coworkers, etc that between this GoFundMe page and the event on the 19th that we can raise enough money to get Matt mobile again.
