Our dear friend Matt went to be with Jesus on Sunday morning, December 27th. We are shocked and saddened by his loss.
There are so many wonderful things to say about Matt; he was a great dresser and had a good eye for all things "in" and stylish. He was quick to laugh and could grow an amazing beard seemingly overnight...and mostly he deeply and fiercely loved his family.
He loved extended cousins, nieces, nephews, parents, brothers, in-laws and everyone in between and he especially loved his wife, April, his daughter, Eleanor and son, Walt.
Among the many ways Matt demonstrated his love for his family was by working and working hard to provide for them. Throughout multiple careers, Matt's work-life was marked by complete dedication, hustle and creativity to his current endeavor. Matt dove whole heartedly into each new project, to learn it, master it and generate income from it. Matt at times also brought this work ethic to April's calling in children's ministry. More than once he could be found in a Sunday school classroom draped in a sheet or other costume to add just a little bit of flare to a lesson.
Matt loved April's strength and competence and surely never once doubted her ability to take care of the family in his absence. However, we're raising money to make the next few months just a little easier to give the family time to grieve, to rest and to plan. We hope you'll join us in honoring Matt's legacy of hard work and provision by joining in loving April, Eleanor and Walt financially.
