Hi guys, as most of you know by now, Matt had an unfortunate & really hard get-off on Father’s Day out at Kentwood.
**Update from katy as of 11p this Sunday evening:
“Matt’s going to need some help guys! He has had surgery on his neck/spine area. They expect him to be in the ICU for 5 days & we need improvement within 24-48hrs! I know we have a lot of prayer warriors praying right now but Let’s get specific with our prayers! Again.. 24-48hrs we need signs of improvement!! …I already know he’s got this! As @mike_326 said, we’re a different breed. He’s going to pull through.”
We all know the risk & costs involved when we pull up to the track, sign-in, and pay that gate fee. With that said, sometimes it’s nice to have an outlet for relief for those who can afford to help out when one sustains severe injury. It’s what our Mx community is all about... Some of you may not be aware but to be air-lifted, its a $30,000+ bill. Theres no way around it. This excludes hospital stays, surgeries, testing, scans, etc. I don’t care how amazing your coverage is, it’s always a burden here in the US when it comes to healthcare. Please help in anyway you possibly can! More updates to come.
**Update as of this Monday evening (6/19) from Katy who’s been up there -back and forth, supporting him & fam in every way possible.. This is what’s going on:
“He’s still intubated. Day2. Still no feeling from the shoulders down... He is aware, But being intubated makes it a little difficult due to sedation. They’re keeping him comfortable right now. We still have a long road ahead and still need prayer specifically for signs of feeling and movement.”
Y’all please be continually praying! Will update tomorrow once we know more.. special thank you to all who have given and shown so much support to Matt. Let’s flood heaven with prayers for his FULL recovery, in JESUS name.
