Matt was diagnosed with glioblastoma in February 2025. After a successful initial surgery, the tumor recurred in December 2025 and has progressed significantly since then. He is on the downhill slope and will likely not see his 48th birthday.
Aside from the cost of medical bills, Matt can no longer work and is on disability. Natalie (his wife) is self-employed, and therefore does not have any sick or bereavement leave or disability benefits, and she is Matt's sole caregiver. She already cannot work as much as she used to, and she will eventually have to stop work entirely.
Matt and Natalie also have two kids. Noah is all grown-up now, but Remi is about to graduate from middle school (and go on to Walter Payton HS - yay Remi!).
The financial toll this is currently taking and will continue to take on this family is a huge burden to undertake while also muddling through the extreme grief of Matt's disability and inevitable passing.
Any amount you can spare will help, and if you can't donate, please help spread the word. Share the gofundme page far and wide. Let's get them the help they need.
