Matt and Nicole's IVF Journey

My brother, Matthew met his wife, Nicole 8 years ago and he joined the Air Force that same year. They got married in September of 2012 and began their journey together. They were stationed in Altus, OK from 2012-2017 and moved to Midlothian, Virginia in October 2017. Throughout Matt's Air Force career and multiple deployments,Nicole has stuck by his side while also making her career through the Department of Defense. The only thing missing was a little Owens baby!
A little over 2 years ago, they decided it was that time! Not knowing what was in store for their future. After months and months of tests, fertility doctors, medications, injections, and lots of heartbreak they had to make a hard decision.
They have now decided to switch gears and do In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) at Walter Reed Military IVF Clinic in Washington, DC to pursue their dreams of having a baby.
As some of you may know, IVF is very expensive and most insurances will not pay for this procedure. This is why I hope we can help them during this time!
I am starting this GoFundMe to help Matt and Nicole with medical expenses, travel, and the expense of Nicole being out of work for upwards of 6 weeks.
The costs are not only associated with the procedure ($7500), but also include travel to and from Walter Reed (4 hours roundtrip), hotel stays, freezing of additional embryos (approx $800), and Nicole being out of work during the whole process.
This is going to be a very stressful process for them so we are hoping to take a little of that stress away by raising money to help them out in any way we can! All proceeds will go to their IVF journey this fall and any remainder will be donated to help others with their IVF journeys!
