Matt (the man who lived in the encampment on the north side of Fort York Blvd, near Bathurst) and his dog Love have been staples of the Fort York community for many years. Due to preparations related to FIFA World Cup 2026, they have been displaced from the place they called home. It’s unclear how much they were able to salvage, if anything, and starting over will likely not be easy. Matt would never be the one to ask for help, so this fundraiser is an opportunity for the community to come together and support him with supplies, essentials, and help creating a new place for him and Love to call home.
