Matt and his fight with Cancer

After celebrating his one yr anniversary with the girl of his dreams, and making plans for their future, Matt was hit with news nobody wants to hear at any age, especially at 22 years. After going to his PCP in January for night sweats and testing negative for Tuberculosis, he felt relieved, only to have a co-worker in March, notice a lump on his neck had gotten larger. Not waiting for his PCP, Matt went to a satellite ER. After a series of test, he was informed he had Cancer. Transferring him to Hartford Hospital, he was then introduced to an Oncologist. After another series of test, full catscan, petscan, biopsies, and bloodwork, Matt was then informed he had Stage 4B Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The aggressive cancer had spread to his chest, spleen, groin, and bone marrow. They started his 6 month chemotherapy of BV+AVD every two weeks. After supporting himself since he was 16, working full time now in the manufacturing business for the last two years, Matt is facing an enormous financial burden. Since he can no longer work, his cost of living isn’t being met. The co-pays and out of pocket expenses are leaving him destitute. The private insurance doesn’t cover most of his medications, leaving him not only facing the fight for his life, but how to actually pay for his daily living expenses. We are asking for a miracle, praying for a miracle. Not only for the strength to fight this horrible disease, for him to fight and win his battle with cancer, but for help from all of you. To help release him from his financial burdens, so he may focus only on the fight of his life. We are asking for prayers in abundance for him. He is a kind, intelligent wonderful young man, who is sweet and respectful. He is just at the beginning of his life, and we want to help him to be able to fulfill his dreams, not only to fight cancer and win, but to live.
