Matt Penney Cancer Medical Bills

Hi everyone, like most people I never thought I’d be writing something like this. My husband Matthew Penney will be having a very rough road ahead. He was diagnosed with Cancer as well as needing knee replacement..He has had 2 surgeries pertaining to the cancer in November and December respectively and had no choice but to put the knee replacement on the back burner.. He then woke up one day in January and couldn’t walk, the pain was excruciating in his groin once again. Cancer was our biggest fear but After many Dr appointments, scans, xrays and ultrasounds it was determined he will need both hips replaced. We went to the surgery center and he got a shot into the hipbone to relieve the pain. 1 week later they did the other hip with anesthesia both times. It’s not determined how long it will last if it works at all or when he will need the replacements. I’ve had hip replacement myself so I know what it entails and you do get better however I have never met anyone who was diagnosed with cancer was told he needs knee replacement as soon as he’s healed from cancer and then find out he will need two hip replacements down the road.. hopefully the shots will work for a while, if not it will be a looong recovery doing the knee first then the hips one at a time. Having said all this Our biggest fear is the cancer, of corse.

Matt will be out of work for awhile and the bills are rolling in. It’s unreal how your life can be turned upside down one minute your enjoying life and the next minute your fighting cancer. The fear is paralyzing.
