My brother has been fighting mantel cell lymphoma for three years now, He has had chemotherapy and stem cell transplant at the Ucl hospital London, who have been amazing & have saved his life a few times now by giving him fast treatments & numerous blood transfusions, The chemotherapy & stem cell transplant made him very ill but he has thought through it & stayed positive! Sadly it only worked for two years before his cancer progressed again, He has recently been on a new clinical trial back in February trialing a new drug for three months but hasn’t worked for him, In the meantime his cancer has been growing and is very aggressive now, He was then refereed back to the uclh hospital, He was told he could have car-t treatment where they take cells send them to America which is then mixed with antibodies that fight of cancer cells this process takes 4 weeks before being frozen & sent back to be transplanted back into him, sadly they’ve told him he is to ill at the moment to have this & is currently having more chemotherapy to shrink the tumours, He has also started Oxygen therapy treatment which isn’t available on the nhs so is having to go private, He needs this oxygen therapy every day for two hours for 40 days in order for it to work, this oxygen therapy kills of the cancer cells, We are very hopeful this will work for him, This treatment is very expensive so therefore I am setting up this go fund me page to hopefully raise the funds that my brother needs for this treatment please help if you can for Matthew & his family,
