Matlacha Pine Island Hurricane Ian Relief

Hello, this is Don Thompson. I am a resident of Matlacha, the island devastated by Hurricane Ian. I have had hundreds of people ask “how can I help?” If you are able, I would ask that you donate so that we can assist local people in need. Many people here have lost everything. Matlacha and Pine Island were ground zero for this powerful storm. The roads to the island were destroyed. When you think “island” you might think that these are people who have vacation homes. Some are…but the vast majority are not. Matlacha and Pine Island is known for being one of the last places to find “old Florida.” These are hard working blue collar people who have been hit hard. Some have unfortunately lost their lives in the storm. I pledge that EVERY DOLLAR collected here will go directly to people in need. I will be working with locally run churches and charities. I hope my friends will help me make a difference. Beyond FEMA and the Red Cross there will be many people who need help. Thank you in advance.
